1. What time do you wake up at?
I usually have several alarms set on my iPhone. They are set for 6:30am, 7am and 7:30am. I hit the snooze button many many times before waking up!
2. What is the first thing you do each morning?
First thing I do in the morning is go to the bathroom, wash my face and brush my teeth. After that I go to the kitchen to get breakfast started!
3. What’s your coffee order?
I usually make my own iced matcha lattes with collagen, adaptogens and homemade nut milk. If I order a coffee it's usually from Starbucks, and I order an iced doppio espresso and I add soy milk or almond milk. It's under $3.00.
4. What do you typically have for breakfast?
There's no typical breakfast in my house. Sometimes it's toast, one savory and one sweet, or could be a smoothie, overnight oats and sometimes it's a fruit and my latte. It really depends on how much time I have and if I prepped my breakfast the night before.
5. Do you have a morning workout routine?
I usually don't workout in the morning unless it's the weekend or I have a day off. But, even so, I have never been able to make a 6:30am workout class. One time I got to a 7am yoga class but my body didn't have enough energy to get the most out of it. Usually 9:30am is a good time for me.
6. What is your morning skincare routine?
Lately, I've been loving all my Ursa Major face products. Their face wash is gentle and smells amazing!! I also have their face wipes if I'm on the go! I also use My Matcha Stick by Cocokind every morning and night under my eyes and on my lips. It's pretty awesome has anti-oxidants and is super moisturizing. I use several face oils and serums as well! All my fave products are all natural and non-toxic.
7. How do you get to work?
I live in NYC, so usually I take the subway or bus to work and I always try to walk home from work. Of course it depends on the weather and where my school is located. This past year I walked home everyday.
8. Do you listen to music or a podcast on your way to work - if so, what?
No I usually just like to have quiet on my commute. If I do listen to music, it's usually Spotify or pandora!
9. Do you journal or meditate before starting your day?
No I don't meditate regularly. I do try to set an intention for the day before I go to bed…something to get excited about for the morning! Even if it's my morning matcha!
10. If you could add one thing to your morning routine what would it be?
I wish I could be that person who jumps out of bed and works out! Working out just doesn't excite me like food does!!
